Digital Rights Protection - The End of P2P

virulg.com
A Finnish company, Viralg Oy, says it can wipe out file-sharing in an instant.
The company says it has developed digital rights protection software that can be incorporated into digital movie, music or software releases and set to play havoc with P2P networks on which releases may appear.

Viralg says it has a "virtual algorithm" which is capable of, "mixing together files in P2P networks in a way that the illegal downloader will end up downloading useless garbage instead of real music, movie or game content". In a statement, it claims its technology can also destroy already shared files on peer to peer networks.

The company says the technology has been used sucessfully by BMG's Finnish subsidiary, BMG Finland and it is now actively seeking new clients in the entertainment industry.

It says its technology can be used on any of the existing P2P networks without damaging the networks, any ISPs or the downloader's PC. It claims it'll simply corrupt the downloaded file so it cannot be viewed. -- NZBzone.com

Halo Auto Update, It's Here...

Not bad... Grenades actually do damage, that's about the only noticible difference I see. Oh and the Standby glitch is useless now. From what I've heard, the person doing it gets a blue screen right away. Way to go bungie. I'm not sure when, but the stats will also be reset. Not sure if I mentioned that in my previous post. Either way, I'm glad they are noticing and fixing some of the mistakes they made. Now, we need more maps. I sure as hell ain't paying for them either.

Halo 2 Auto Update

Full Article
Great news... This coming Monday an auto update for Halo 2 will roll out that promises to fix some of the issues people have with the game. Melee attacks will be stronger, certain weapon combos will become weaker, and grenades will actually be of some use. Auto aiming will be toned down as well. Wonder if they just went to halo2sucks.com and started fixing some of the things that they screwed up the first time around. They are fixing glitches and cheats too, they say putting your modem on standby can still be done, but it won't be as "worthwhile" as it used to be. They are also fixing the bug where you couldn't pick up a weapon. (happened to me constantly) Anyway, you get the gist of it. Click on the link above for the full article.

Google AdSense

As you can see I now have the Google adds thing on my blog. Worth a shot to try and earn a little extra spending money. the way it works it Google searches your page and provides ads related to the content you have on your site. So if my site was related to poker, there would be poker ads listed on the sidebar to the right. If I mentioned that I used to work for a domain reseller, or sold mortgages, there would be ads related to purchasing domains or mortgages. It basically picks out certain keywords on your page/site and shows you adds related to the content of the site/page.

End of April availability for new Apple Mac OS X, Tiger

earthtimes.org
Old news already but due to my lack of posting I'll post it anyway. Sounds like it's going to be pretty cool, unfortunately I don't have a Mac (yet, look 2 posts down) so the closest I'll come to trying it is my local Apple Store. If only Apple hardware wasn't so expensive. I'd bet alot more people would make the switch.

New File-Sharing Lawsuits Target Internet2

abc7news.com
When will it end? What I want to know is the RIAA making money on these law suits? Enough to cover the cost of finding and handing out lawsuits to these people? How'd they get on to Internet 2 anyway when it's supposed to be for universities only? People just need to stay away from P2P software. The RIAA is cracking down hard and will continue to do so until the successor to P2P downloading arrives. Whenever that may be.

My Free Mini

Still working on getting my FreeMiniMac... Got 4 out of 6 referrals now, c'mon guys help me out... I signed up for a buddy of mine to try and prove to him it was a scam, and now I'm eating my words cause he ended up getting a MacMini and an IpodShuffle from another one of those sites. Try doing the shuffle if you don't believe me, it requires that you complete an offer and refer only 3 friends to do the same. The MiniMac requires 10 referrals. So try doing the shuffle first.

Hello, Is this thing on?

Has anyone visited this blog? I'm curious if anyone has ever stumbled across it... Put something in the comments if you've been here before or let me know how you got here. If I know people actually look at this thing, I'll probably blog more than I have been doing lately.
